Kindra's Latest Project: Scott Conant's SCM Culinary Loft

SCM Culinary Loft Lookbook

Beloved chef and TV personality Scott Conant unveils SCM Culinary Loft, a 4,000 square foot space in the heart of SoHo. SCM Culinary Loft will serve as a private event space, production studio, recipe development kitchen and Conant's corporate headquarters. Most importantly, SCM Culinary Loft is where Conant will bring his culinary mission to life: making the elegant easy and approachable. Designed by Brian Leister, the expansive Loft featuresfour main sections: a lounge area which doubles as a bar, a dining room, full kitchen and library. Mixing earthy elements of reclaimed wood, the inviting space can hold up to 30 for an intimate, private dinner or 75 for an elaborate cocktail reception. Designed by Kindra Predmore-Thompson (Emmy Award Winner for production design), the modern kitchen will be ideal for, but isn’t limited to, photo shoots, TV production, live cooking demos as well as research and development space for Conant's new cookbook, which is currently in the works. Conant will also make the SCM Culinary Loft accessible to chef and industry friends who can use the space as well for photo shoots, event preparation, cooking demos and more.

Conant is the celebrated chef of five Scarpetta restaurants and D.O.C.G. Enoteca in Las Vegas. Scarpetta has been praised by consumers and critics alike, earning three-star reviews from The New York Times and New York Magazine and has been featured in Travel + LeisureForbes and Wine Enthusiast. In addition to appearing on The Martha Stewart Show and the TODAY Show, Conant hosts Food Network's primetime series "24 Hour Restaurant Battle" and is a frequent judge on "Chopped," also on Food Network.
